Autumn Wedding Decor Ideas
With an incredible array foliage, a combination of burnt and darker hues, seasonal favours and incredible cake ideas, autumn is a beautiful season to say ‘I do’. Here are four of our favourite touches to an autumn wedding…
Hot Chocolate Favours
These make such cute favours, sure to please every guest, because let’s face it, who doesn’t love hot chocolate? You can even DIY these, all you need are cute little jars and a layer of powdered hot chocolate and mini marshmallows.
Autumn brings with it its own beautiful foliage, leaves in a multitude of shapes and colours. One of our favourite autumn touches is an arch, not a floral one, but a leaf arch in an array of gorgeous colours. You could also use leaves more subtly – spray painting them gold, the perfect accent to autumnal wedding colours. You could then use these as hanging décor or as place settings.
Black and Gold
While gold is the perfect accent to an autumn wedding theme, black makes the whole scheme ‘pop’. Used sparingly black can be incredible striking and complementary to your autumn colour scheme, think very subtle details like font for your table numbers and place settings and tea-light holders. You could go a step further and use black linen, but in this case be sure to use plenty of colour on your table décor (if you use colourful florals, they will pop beautifully) and confine the use of black to the linen.
Semi-naked cakes are always a good idea, but for autumn weddings, add caramel drizzle and adorn with autumnal florals and berries and you have a gorgeous autumn wedding cake.
