Christenings in Leicester
Christenings are special occasions for friends and families to get together. A christening or naming ceremony isn’t just about the ceremony. It also includes a party or reception afterwards. It’s a chance to catch up with friends and for everyone to meet your baby.
It can be a simple afternoon tea with cakes right through to a three-course sit down meal. The City Rooms are ideal for this as we are not only located to nearby churches but the local Leicester council offices are also able to help you with your naming ceremony plans.
The Dining Room located on our first floor has doors which open up into our bar area. This room creates the perfect setting for your little ones christening. This room can be set up with occasional tables and chairs for up to 80 guests or seated in banquet style for up to 60 guests.
For bigger gatherings the Ballroom can be hired and set up to a layout of your choice. This room offers plenty space for a seated meal, dance floor and your entertainment.
