Our client wanted to opt to have a ‘healthy’ selection of food instead of the usual variety of muffins, pastries and carb-heavy food you may expect at conferences. Our wonderful chefs were more than happy to oblige and were thrilled to come up with a range of delicious and healthy dishes that were enjoyed by all who attended.
On arrival delegates were greeted with servings of tea and coffee accompanied with granola and yogurt and a concoction of fresh seasonal fruits instead of Danish pastries and mini muffins. Mid-morning attendees were served teas and coffees with fresh seasonal and locally-sourced fruit skewers.
For lunch delegates enjoyed a selection of sumptuous healthy dishes including homemade quiche, crudities and dips, Italian pasta salad, tomato and onion salad, mixed herb salad, Waldorf salad and lemon and herb couscous, along with a selection of juices and healthy cordials. This lunch menu ensured delegates received nutritious and tasty food which would in turn ensure they maintained their energy levels for the afternoon session of their conference. Tea and coffee were served mid-afternoon alongside healthy snacks such as low-fat carrot cake.
‘Healthy’ food options for conferences are something more and more people considering and as you can see healthy definitely can be delicious and enjoyable. An added bonus is that due to the nutritional value of the food delegates maintain their energy levels and concentration throughout the day.
