The City Rooms is a grand building dating from the year 1792, conveniently located in the heart of Leicester City Centre. This Grade 1 Listed Building has been carefully restored, combining the original features of the building with an elegant and contemporary twist, to offer function rooms for Christmas parties including the Grand Ballroom. We also have four, sumptuously decorated bedroom suites located on the upper floors of this magnificent venue.

The venue is brought to life at Christmas time by the addition of our festive decorations throughout the venue. Each year we do something a little different but you’re always guaranteed a warm welcome into our grand hallway, featuring the Christmas tree and lots of candles. It would not be Christmas party time if it weren’t for our signature draping in the Ballroom and Dining Room. The Ballroom can provide the perfect backdrop for Christmas parties in Leicester for up to 200 guests. On certain dates in December, we also open the Ballroom for bookings of 8 or more so that your company Christmas party can truly have a great atmosphere amongst other guests too.

Shared Party Nights for 8 guests or more

These nights are guaranteed to be memorable, offering excellent service, brilliant food and the atmosphere of a great party in a truly magnificent venue.

Exclusive Party Nights for 120 guests or more

Hire out the Ballroom exclusively for a memorable evening; entertainment, drinks options and food menus can be personalised to suit your needs. Exclusive party nights are available any day of the week. Please contact us to check availability.

Private Parties for 30-60 guests

For a more intimate environment the Dining Room or Drawing Room offer the perfect setting. The evening can be tailored to your needs to make it a very special occasion. Please call for more details and to check availability.

Christmas Party Lunches for 30 or more guests

Choose to hold your Christmas party at lunch time and treat your colleagues to a relaxed atmosphere in either our Dining Room or Ballroom. Christmas party lunches are available any day of the week, please just contact us for availability.
