Navjot and Andy’s Wedding

October 26th, 2011

On the 16th July 2011 Andy and Navjot tied the knot and celebrated their big day at The City Rooms. Over 150 guests attended the wedding and the ceremony was held in our Ballroom.

The couple had the Ballroom draped with gold and white material which matched the gold dashes on the chair covers. Personal touches made this wedding even more  beautiful with a carved woodwork of their initials N&A which was displayed in the Ballroom.

The Harpist played as the Bridesmaids entered followed by the grand entrance of Navjot and her father. All eyes where on Navjot and Andy as they met at the top of the Aisle.

After the Ceremony The City Rooms took the Ballroom from being the ceremony room and turned it around for the  formal Wedding Breakfast.

Andy and Navjot treated their guests to a delicious 3 course meal, some of the dishes included  sheesh kebabs, onion bhajis, pea & paneer curry, chick-pea curry and chicken curry. Dessert was a trio of panacotta, mini rasperry cheesecake and chocolate truffle cake. All these dishes were prepared and cooked with our very own chefs at The City Rooms.

Andy added his own personel touch and named the tables after Man City football players. Both Andy and Navjot planned every detail of their day from tasting to mock table set ups. They chose the menu and even brought in a local ale for their guests to enjoy.

The room was also made beautiful with the help of some talented wedding suppliers. The draping was set up by More Productions www.moreproduction.co.uk/ Chair Covers supplied and dressed by Rainbow Linen www.rainbowlinenhire.com/ Our Candelabras were decorated with flowers by Belle Fleur www.belle-fleur.co.uk/ The room looked lovely on the day and now they have all these stunning photographs taken by the talented Matt Stanton www.mjstanton.com

It was a fantastic wedding and the wedding co-ordinators and staff  at The City Rooms would like to wish Navjot and Andy all the very best and thank them for choosing us as a venue to hold their wedding!
